Airbnb Host Fee Calculator

See your real payout after Airbnb’s host fee — and your actual profit once cleaning and costs come out.

How Airbnb host fees work

Under the current host-only model, Airbnb takes 15.5% of the entire booking — nightly rate plus cleaning and any extra fees — straight out of your payout. Guests no longer see a separate service fee, so your listing price is effectively what they pay.

payout = (nightly × nights + cleaning) × (1 − 15.5%)

Frequently asked questions

How much does Airbnb take from hosts in 2026?

Most homes hosts are now on the host-only fee model: Airbnb deducts 15.5% of the total booking (nightly rate plus cleaning and other fees) from your payout, and guests see no separate service fee. On a $1,000 booking you receive about $845.

What happened to the 3% split fee?

The old split-fee model — 3% to the host and a ~14% service fee shown to guests — has been phased out for the vast majority of hosts. The single 15.5% host-only fee is now standard as of September 2026.

Does the Airbnb fee apply to the cleaning fee?

Yes. The host service fee is calculated on the entire booking total, including the cleaning fee and any other charges you add — which is why this calculator includes cleaning in the base.

Is the 15.5% the same everywhere?

It is the standard US homes rate. It’s higher in some regions (16% in Brazil, plus VAT in the EU), and Experiences (20%) and Services (15%) differ. Adjust the rate above to match your market.
